7 Series E38 735iL (M62) SAL
Unfasten 4 retaining screws for torque converter with special tool
24 1 110.
Note:
Continue turning engine on central screw in enginewise
direction.
Installation:
Unscrew special tool 24 2 300 and remove from torque
converter.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 24 40 1AZ.
Unscrew screw.
Press guide tube for positive battery lead downwards slightly.
Fit special tool 11 7 310 between engine oil pan and front axle
support.
Turn front wheels to right lock to ensure that center track rod is not
subjected to excessive loads when transmission is lowered.
Lower transmission until engine oil pan is located on special tool
11 7 310.
Protect torque converter from slipping out. To do this, insert
special tool 24 4 131 / 24 4 132 in recess in transmission case
and tighten down.
