Removing and installing, sealing or replacing
full flow oil filter (M67)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove EGR cooler

When the full flow oil filter is removed, a residual quantity of
engine oil flows out of the oil filter into the coolant chamber
beneath!

To prevent damage to the engine by engine oil in the cooling
system:

After removing the full flow oil filter, remove the engine oil from the
coolant chamber as instructed.

Failure to follow this procedure will result in serious engine
damage!

Undo screw (1).

Release union nuts (2).

Tightening torque,  13 53 8AZ

.

Disconnect injection line (3).

E38 only:

Unfasten cable clip (1).

Remove hose holder (2).
