7 Series E38 740d (M67) SAL
Caution!
Do not damage radiator fins.
To release fan impeller (2):
- Grip water pump at square drive.
- Release union nut (1) with special tool 11 5 040.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 52 1AZ .
Remove and install fan cowl,
refer to 17 11 031 .
Drain coolant (from radiator only),
refer to 17 00 005 .
Grip engine hood firmly.
Raise clamps (1) on both sides and slide upwards.
Unhook dampers (2) on left and right of engine hood.
Raise engine hood.
Screw two M8 bolts (1) into engine hood hinges for locking.
