Braking in of duo-servo parking brake (E38)
3.1 On roller dynamometer:
3.1.1 Press parking brake pedal fully until wheel circumferential
force at both wheels is min. 800 N.
3.1.2 Release parking brake pedal after approx. 2 minutes.
3.2 When road driving (if possible on company property or an
unused road):
3.2.1 At approx. 40 km/h, press parking brake pedal until a
braking effect can be felt (disengaged or selector lever
position "N" for automatic vehicles).
3.2.2 Press parking brake pedal into next catch and continue
driving for approx. 200 m.
3.2.3 Repeat entire procedure once.
