Installation:

Ensure dowel sleeves (1) are correctly located. 

Coat contact surface edges of joint between cylinder head
and cylinder head gasket with liquid gasket
Hylomar SQ32 M (refer to BMW Parts Service).

Installation:

Keep sealing faces clean and free of oil.

Replace seals.

Caution!

Note installation direction of gaskets.

Install gaskets with sealing bead (1) facing the timing case
cover.

Installation:

Ensure gaskets are correctly seated, then fit timing case cover
with screw inserted.

Note:

It is not possible to insert screw at a later point.

Installation:

Install all screws.

Fit screws (1) against cylinder head with no clearance.
