Removing and installing/replacing airbag
module in front door, left or right (Protection)

Disconnect battery negative lead,

refer to General Instructions in Main Group 12.

Remove front door trim panel,

refer to 51 41 000.

Caution!

Observe safety regulations for handling airbag modules and
pyrotechnical seat belt tensioners,

refer to Main Group 72.

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and result in injury.

Disconnect plug connection (1) on airbag module.

Note:

Unlock plug connection by pressing on lug (1).
