7 Series E38 740iL (M62) SAL
Push constant-velocity joint along disassembly grooves and off
output flange.
Unscrew center bearing.
Installation:
Preload center bearing in direction of travel to dimension (A) 2
... 4 mm.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 26 11 6AZ.
Caution!
Do not let propeller shaft fall into joints.
Joints and rubber sleeve on constant-velocity joint can be
damaged.
Bend propeller shaft downwards on center bearing.
Remove constant-velocity joint from final drive and lift propeller
shaft off transmission output flange.
Note:
Protect constant-velocity joint from dirt with transport cap or
similar item.
