Removing and installing / sealing rear coolant
end cover (M73)
Remove transmission,
refer to 24 00 026
Remove flywheel,
refer to 11 22 510
Remove left and right heat baffle plates on front axle
support.
Unfasten drain plug for coolant in left and right engine block. Drain
and dispose of coolant.
Installation:
Replace seals.
For tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 11 5AZ
Top up coolant. Vent cooling system and check for leaks,
refer to 17 00 039
Unfasten screws (1) and remove cover.
Installation:
Clean sealing faces and replace gasket.
