Removing and installing complete left or right
spring strut shock absorber
Caution!
After assembly, measure/adjust front axle alignment.
Remove brake caliper (brake line remains connected),
refer to 34 11 220.
Disconnect plug connection on impulse sensor for ABS.
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Unfasten nut.
Press off track rod with special tool 32 1 190.
Installation:
Ball stud and bore free of grease.
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 32 21 3AZ.
Remove control arm from front axle support.
Installation:
Fit washers (1) on both sides and replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 12 2AZ.
