Replacing all brake pipes
Special tools required:
•
34 5 100
Note:
Brake pipes are only supplied straight, in correct length and
fitted with connecting nipples.
Caution!
Follow general instructions:
Refer to 34 00 ...
After completing work, bleed brake system:
Vehicle with ABS, refer to 34 00 047
Vehicle with ABS/ASC+T, DSC1, DSC2, refer to 34 00 048
Vehicle with DSC3, refer to 34 00 050.
New brake pipes must be bent as required using bending tool
34 5 100 .
Removed brake pipes can be used as templates for bending.
Caution!

Protective coat on brake pipes must
not be damaged while bending.

Brake pipes must not be bent back and
forth.

Watch distances to rigid and movable vehicle parts.
Brake lines may not make contact or rub.

Tighten brake-pipe couplings
with torque wrench.
Tightening torque: refer to Technical Data.
