Removing and installing/replacing charging
piston unit DSC3 up to 09/98

Installation:
Bleeding brake system,
refer to 34 00 050
Caution!
After finishing work:
Conduct operational check of hydraulic control unit with BMW
Diagnosis and Information System (DIS).
Unfasten brake lines (1 - 6) on charging piston unit.
Caution!
Do not mix up brake lines; mark prior to removal if necessary.
Installation:
Pipe connections
1
(RA) to DSC3 hydraulic control unit connection (R)
2
(MC2) from master brake cylinder circuit (R)
3
(PBP) from pre-boost pump
4
(MC1) from master brake cylinder circuit (F)
5
(FC) to DSC3 hydraulic control unit connection (F)
6
(BE) to brake fluid expansion tank
Tightening torque,
refer to 34 32 1AZ
Pull connector (1) off pressure sensor.
Pull charging piston unit out of rubber mounts toward rear.
