Open rear door.

Note:

In E38 L7, open center door,

refer to 41 35 470 

Mount special tool 41 5 040 at distance of

A = 100 mm

from the roof edge, check the distance dimension and correct if
necessary.

Note:

Distance dimension OK:

Test surface with green identification mark can be pushed in at the
indicated position between the front side door and the B-pillar, test
surface with red identification mark cannot be pushed in.

Distance dimension not OK:

Test surface with red identification mark can be pushed in at the
indicated position between the front side door and the B-pillar
(distance too great).

Neither of the two test surfaces can be pushed in at the indicated
position between the side door and the B-pillar (distance too
small).
