Removing and installing or replacing heater

Unfasten water hoses (1) to end panel. Carefully blow out lines to
clear remaining coolant from heater.

Draw off coolant,

refer to 64 50 009,

and unfasten both tubes (2) on the end wall. Unfasten screws (3)
on the end wall.

Remove steering column, 

refer to 32 31 090.

Remove trim from instrument panel,

refer to 51 45 030.

Remove shelf,

refer to 51 16 200

Remove reinforcing tubes from left and right sides.

Remove heater.

Installation:

Evacuate and charge air conditioner,

refer to 64 50 009.

Filling and bleeding the cooling system,

refer to 17 00 039
