Removing and installing or replacing front left
or right safety belt (complete unit)
Caution!
Note safety regulations for handling airbag modules and
pyrotechnical belt tensioners,
refer to Group 72
Inexpert handling can trigger off the airbag or the belt
tensioner and thus cause injury.
Removing front seat,
refer to Group 52
Remove finisher from front seat
Remove trim from B-pillar,
refer to 51 43 148
Disconnect plug connection (1) for belt tensioner,
refer also to 72 12 ... Unlocking/locking airbag plug connections
Open cable connector (2).
Installation:
Secure cable with cable tie (2) so that plug connection (1) is
not under tension.
Unscrew bolt (1).
Remove belt tensioner.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 72 11 1AZ
Note encoding for belt tensioner on seat.
