7 Series E38 L7 (M73) SAL
Engine M73:
Remove cable connector.
Caution!
If the impulse sensors are fitted to a new transmission, they
must be reset,
refer to 12 14 518/519.
Unfasten 4 retaining screws for torque converter with special tool
24 1 110.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 24 40 1AZ.
Unscrew screw.
Press guide tube for positive battery lead downwards slightly.
M60/M62 engine:
Fit special tool 23 3 030 between engine oil pan and front axle
support.
Engine M73:
Fit special tool 11 7 310 between engine oil pan and front axle
support.
Move front wheels over to left lock.
Lower transmission.
