Replacing the rear left side panel

Procedure instructions,

refer to General information about body repair

Rear side panel replacement part

Remove following parts or loosen them:

- 

Rear bumper with impact absorbers

- 

Trunk trim panels

- 

Fuel tank

- 

Active carbon filter

- 

Luggage compartment lid

- 

Battery

- 

Rear wire harness (partially)

- 

Spare wheel

- 

Back seat and back-rest

- 

Roof liner

- 

Rear window

- 

Gutter

Remove or cover up other vehicle components in the repair zone
which are at risk from heat, flying sparks and dust.

Define and cut through connection point between side panel / C-
pillar.

Dimension (A) = 140 mm from body edge recess for rear window
on roof.
