About the E65 7 Series
The E65 is the standard-wheelbase version of the fourth-generation 7 Series, made from 2001 to 2008. It was the first BMW with iDrive, and its Chris Bangle-overseen styling was a sharp break from tradition. The 760i used the world's first production direct-injection V12.
What these manuals cover
- Six-cylinder: the 730i (M54, N52) and the 730d (M57).
- V8: the 735i, 740i, 745i and 750i (N62), and the V8 diesel 740d and 745d (M67).
- V12: the 760i (N73).
- The Alpina B7 (N62).
Tip: these are BMW factory manuals, listed by model, engine and body rather than by year. The code in brackets is the engine (M54, N52 and so on), and the last word is the body: SAL saloon, TOUR Touring (estate), COUPE, CONVER convertible, COMP Compact (hatchback), ROADST roadster, OFFRD for the X models. The E66 manuals cover the same engines.
