Tightening torque, 11 37 1AZ

Note:

Replace bearing shells (1) of needle bearings.

Important!

Bearing shells (1) must be installed in such a way that ends of
bearing shells (1) face each other as shown in illustration.

Insert bearing shells (1) into bearing bracket so that it is secured
in bore (2).

Lubricate bearing shells (1) with engine oil.

Cylinder bank 1 to 4:

Important!

There is a danger of mixing up battery leads:

Machined curvature of eccentric points inwards.

Lever (1) with roller points towards front.

Install eccentric shaft as shown in illustration.

Version up to 2/03:

Eccentric shaft of cylinder bank 1 to 4 has a "flat area (2)" on
collar between cylinders 1 and 2.

RA  Removing and installing/replacing right eccentric shaft (N62 to 9/03)
