Removing and installing/replacing module
carrier

Work step

Note:

Remove design cover.

Remove fan clutch.

Remove fan cowl.

Drain coolant.

Remove radiator.

Remove auxiliary fan.

Draw off fluid from power steering.
Unlock hydraulic lines on cooling loop and disconnect.

Installation:

Top up hydraulic fluid.

Bleed power steering.

Check fluid level in power
steering fluid reservoir; top
up if necessary.

Lift module carrier out of rubber mounts and push approx. 5 cm towards rear.

Installation:

Rubber mounts fall out
easily, ensure correct
installation position.

Remove module carrier (1) towards bottom.

Note:

Secure A/C condenser against damage and against falling down.

When replacing module carrier:

Convert power steering cooling loop.
