Replacing steering spindle sleeve
Important!
Do not kink floor panelling under any circumstances!
After installation:
•
Carry out steering angle sensor adjustment
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove lower section of steering spindle
•
Remove accelerator pedal module
Note:
For purposes of clarity, this task is shown with the sleeve
removed.
Lever bearing bushing (1) out of sleeve (2) with plastic wedge or
screwdriver.
Remove bearing bushing (1) from sleeve (2).
Pop sleeve (2) out of bulkhead and pull out from inside.
Installation sequence:
Lubricate sleeve from outside with silicone grease and insert
(without bearing bushing) from vehicle interior.
Note:
Arrow (1) must point vertically downwards.
