7 Series E65 735i (N62) SAL
Open flap in luggage compartment panel on right.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
The eccentric pin now remains at bottom dead centre even after
the rear lid lock upper section has been unlocked.
Turn central key in lock cylinder to right, thereby unlocking rear lid
lock upper section.

Important!
Rear lid lock upper section must be unlocked before each
closing of rear lid (risk of damage).
Adjustment of Soft Close Automatic:

Check fulcrum pads on lower section of rear lid lock for
damage and replace if necessary.

Close rear lid.

Check height of rear lid to side panels.
For ideal adjustment, refer to Body gap dimensions, adjust if
necessary.
Open rear lid.
Screw in rubber buffers (1) on left/right completely.
