New sprayer for air conditioner

E65/E66

Situation: 

The newly developed sprayer is able to clean the surface of the compressor on E65 and
E66 vehicles almost completely. This makes it far more efficient that the sprayer used to
date. Because of the space available, separate sprayers are provided for LHD and RHD
vehicles.

The new sprayer is operated in conjunction with the HRS spray gun manufactured by SATA
(order number 81 45 9 429 217).

Important:

With immediate effect, only the new special tool 64 1 280 (for LHD) and
special tool 64 1 290 (for RHD) may be used on E65/E66 vehicles!Special tools
64 1 460 (for LHD) and 64 1 470 (for RHD) used to date should be scrapped.

Note:

All BMW dealers who purchased special tool 64 1 460 or 64 1 470 before
September 2005 will receive the new special tool 64 1 280 or 64 1 290 free of
charge.

Please refer to Enclosure 1.

Procedure: 

Store tools will be supplied to order only.
