Replacing wiring harness section for engine
(M54)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out DME fault memory.
•
Disconnect battery ground wire.
•
Engine hood in assembly position.
•
Remove right fresh air duct.
•
Remove center of assembly partition wall.
•
Remove electronics box cover.
•
Remove intake air manifold.
•
Remove underbody protection at front/rear.
•
Remove reinforcement plate.
Unfasten following plug connections:

Plug connection, VANOS adjustment unit

Negative lead on spring strut dome

Plug connection, exhaust camshaft sensor

Plug connection, oxygen monitor sensors
3
Plug connection, thermostat temperature sensor

Plug connection, coolant temperature sensor

Plug connection, VANOS adjustment unit
