Removing and installing/sealing or replacing
top left timing case cover (M60)
(Cylinder bank 5-8)
Remove left cylinder head cover. This operation is
described in section on removing and installing/sealing
both cylinder head covers,
refer to 11 12 004
Remove fan coupling with fan wheel,
refer to 11 52 020
If necessary, remove tubes for secondary air intake,
refer to 11 72 200
Unfasten top left tank vent valve from timing case cover.
Unfasten positive battery line from timing case cover and place to
one side.
Unfasten timing case cover.
