Removing and installing/replacing alternator
drive belt (M57)
Note:
If the drive belt is to be subsequently reused, mark the direction of
travel.
Reinstall drive belt in same direction of travel.
E46 only:
Release screw.
Pull air duct (1) out of air cleaner cover.
Remove air duct (1) from intake hood (2).
E46 only:
Release screws (1).
Remove acoustic cover (2).
E46 and E53:
Remove fan cowl.
Remove A/C compressor drive belt.
