Removing and installing complete exhaust
system M57 (with front exhaust pipe)
Warning!
Scalding hazard!
Only perform these tasks after exhaust system has cooled
down.
Release screws.
Remove underbody protection (1).
Release screws.
Release lock at bottom (2).
Release side lock (not shown).
Pull out flap (1).
Release inner rubber mounts on both rear mufflers.
Release front 3 rubber mounts on exhaust system.
Caution!
Carry out following work step with a second person.
Release screw connection of exhaust system between front
pipe and turbocharger.
Tightening torque, 18 00 1AZ.
