Removing and installing/replacing exhaust
pipe (top)
M57 only:
Release fuel cooler and place to one side.
All:
Disconnect plugs (1) and (2).
Caution!
To avoid damage during installation, it is absolutely essential
to adhere to the following contacting sequence for the plug
connections:
1.
Plug connection (2)
2.
Plug connection (1)
M57 only:
Release screw (3) and remove retaining fixture with centering for
fuel cooler.
Installation:
Make sure retaining fixture with centering for fuel cooler is
correctly seated.
M54, M62 only:
Release screw (3).
All:
Detach hose clamp (2) from intake hose (3).
Detach intake hose (3) from heater (4) and place to one side.
Loosen screws (1).
