Removing and installing/replacing hub for
vibration damper (M62)
Remove fan cowl,
refer to 17 11 31.
Remove vibration damper,
refer to 11 23 010.
Note:
When releasing and tightening down the central bolt, you
must support the special tool 11 2 450 on the engine
carrier.
Accessibility is achieved after removal of the power steering
pump and the mounting plate with oil-water heat exchanger
from radiator.
Note:
Lines of power steering pump, oil-water heat exchanger and
water hoses remain connected.
Remove power steering pump from oil sump.
Note:
Lines remain connected.
Crank engine at central bolt and align dowel pin (1) to bore in
special tool 11 2 450.
