Removing and installing vane pump/power
steering pump for power steering (LUK)
Important!
Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to
enter the system.
Seal off pipe connections with plugs.
After installation:
•
Fill and bleed hydraulic system. Check pipe connections for
leaks.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Draw off and dispose of hydraulic fluid
Observe country-specific waste-disposal regulations.
•
Remove underbody protection
•
Remove drive belt
Release banjo bolt (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ
.
Replace seals (D).
Loosen screws (2).
Release banjo bolt (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque 32 41 3AZ
.
Replace seals (D).
Release nut (4) and remove power steering pump.
Installation:
Tighten down front screws.
Tighten knurled nut (5) hand-tight.
