X Series E53 X5 4.4i (M62) OFFRD
Make reinforcement plates (1) from old engine carrier part to a
length of approx. 50 mm and coat with weld primer.
Slide reinforcement plates (1) half-way into engine carrier and
plug-weld (2).
Adapt new engine carrier part (1) with straightening attachment (2)
and plug-weld (3).
Weld joint (4).
Grind and clean weld seam and plug welds.
Tin out and grind joint until it is smooth.
