X Series E53 X5 4.4i (M62) OFFRD
Mark new part according to severance cut described last (1) and
cut through completely with inner reinforcement.
Cut out reinforcement by drilling off welding spots (2).
Clean connecting area (3).
Fit new part (1) according to cut (2) on car with straightening
attachment (3).
Plug-weld bores on reinforcement and weld joint (2).
Plug-weld engine carrier (1) with wheel arch supports (4).
Grind and clean weld seams and plug welds.
Tin out joints.
Mark partition wall for new assembly compartment part according
to severance cut (3) and cut.
Make reinforcement plates (2) according to illustration and clean.
Clean area around cutting edge (1) and spot-weld reinforcement
plates (2).
Weld severance cut (3) and connection to wheel arch support (4).
Grind and clean weld seams.
