Replacing mirror glass for rear-view mirror
(on front door)
Caution!
Bring car to room temperature so that clips do not break
off.
Press mirror glass at lower edge forwards as far as it will
go.
Tape off mirror glass and housing edge with plastic adhesive tape
(1) (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service) (risk of damage).
Push mirror glass with special tool 00 9 318 (universal wedge)
upwards.
Carefully remove mirror glass towards rear and if necessary
disconnect plug connection for mirror heater and/or automatic
anti-glare control.
Installation:
Position mirror glass (1) with mounts (2) on guides (3) and
push downwards.
Carry out function check.
