Installing SAC
M62
Situation:
The self-adjusting clutch (SAC) was introduced for the first time as of 09/96 on all M62
engines.
For installing the clutch-driven plate to the flywheel a new clutch-centering pin is needed.
Likewise, a tensioning device is needed for tension-free installation of the SAC, which does
not require excessive force.
For this purpose the special tools listed in Enclosure 1 have been developed.
Procedure:
Offer tools will be supplied automatically in accordance with the current tools agreement.
