Removing and installing air intake manifold
(M57TU)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove center equipment compartment bulkhead (E65 only).
•
Remove tension strut (E60/E83 only).
•
Remove microfilter housing (E46/E83 only).
•
Remove acoustic cover at front and rear.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unscrew bolt (2).
Open holder (3).
Disconnect plug connection (4).
Pull off vacuum hose (5).
Pull off vacuum hose (6).
Release injector wiring harness and lay to one side.
Unlock and detach charge air hose (1).
Release pipe (2).
Release screw connection along lines (3).
Pull off vacuum hose (4).
Installation:
Replace all seals.
Assemble engine.
Check function of DDE.
