Removing and installing/replacing both
lambda oxygen control sensors (N52)

Special tools required:

11 4 260

Warning!

Scalding hazard!

Only perform these tasks after the exhaust system has cooled
down. 

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove exhaust system.

Installation:

If an oxygen sensor is to be reused, only apply a thin and uniform
coat of Never Seez Compound (refer to BMW Parts Service)
to thread.

The part of the oxygen control sensor which projects into the
exhaust system branch (sensor ceramic) must not be cleaned or
come into contact with lubricant.
