Removing and installing/replacing trim for
preselector lever (gearshift lever)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Apply parking brake
•
Engage neutral or move selector lever to N position
•
Remove gaiter
Note:
Removing the trim for the preselector lever or gearshift lever is
virtually identical. The illustrations show the removal of the trim for
the preselector lever in versions with automatic transmissions.
Unclip trim (1) from mounting points (2) all round in direction of
arrow.
Raise trim (1), disconnect associated plug connections and
remove towards top.
Installation:
Make sure retainers (1) are correctly seated in their mounts.
Replacement:
Remove switch for hazard warning system/central locking (2) .
