Removing and installing/replacing airbag
module on left or right front door
Warning!
Read and comply with safety regulations for handling airbag
modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners.
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.
Disconnect battery negative lead from battery.
Follow instructions for unlocking and locking airbag plug
connections.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove front door trim
Unlock plug (1) and detach from airbag module (2).
Installation:
Wiring harness must not be abraded or kinked.
Release screws and remove airbag module (2).
Installation:
Replace microencapsulated screws.
