Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
LEFT
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air cleaner inlet duct.
2.
Remove spark plug wires, then exhaust crossover pipe to manifold attaching bolts.
3.
Remove engine lift hook, then manifold heat shield.
4.
Remove oil level indicator tube, then manifold studs.
5.
Remove exhaust manifold.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, torquing all studs/nuts to specifications.
RIGHT
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove spark plug wires.
2.
Disconnect oxygen sensor lead, then remove throttle cable bracket and cables from throttle body.
3.
Remove brake booster hose from manifold, then exhaust crossover pipe to manifold attaching bolts.
4.
Remove exhaust pipe from manifold, then engine lift hook.
5.
Remove transaxle oil level indicator tube, then manifold heat shield.
6.
Remove manifold studs, then exhaust manifold.
7.
Reverse procedure to install, torquing all studs/nuts to specifications.
