Century V6-3.1L VIN J (2005)
1. Align the hood hinge to the fender.
Notice: Refer toFastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
2. Install the hood hinge to fender bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
3. Install the hood. Refer toHood Replacement (See: Service and Repair) .
4. Install the hood assist rod. Refer toAssist Rod Replacement - Hood (See: Hood Shock / Support/Service and Repair) .
5. Install the hood rear side seal to the hood. Refer toSeal Replacement - Hood Rear Side (See: Hood Weatherstrip/Service and Repair/Seal
Replacement - Hood Rear Side) .
6. Adjust the hood, as required. Refer toHood Adjustment (See: Adjustments) .
