Trim Panel Replacement - Lower Center Pillar

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front carpet retainer. Refer toCarpet Retainer Replacement - Front   (See: Carpet/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Carpet Retainer Replacement - Front) .

2. Remove the rear carpet retainer. Refer toCarpet Retainer Replacement - Rear   (See: Carpet/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Carpet

Retainer Replacement - Rear) .

3. Remove the door weatherstrip from the center pillar pinch weld flange to expose the lower trim panel.
4. Starting at the base, grasp the trim panel firmly with both hands. Pull the panel away from the center pillar.
5. Remove the seat belt from the slot in the lower trim panel.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the seat belt to the slot in the lower trim panel.

2. Position the lower trim panel to the center pillar.
3. Push firmly on the lower trim panel in order to seat the retainers.
4. Install the front carpet retainer. Refer toCarpet Retainer Replacement - Front   (See: Carpet/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Carpet

5. Install the rear carpet retainer. Refer toCarpet Retainer Replacement - Rear   (See: Carpet/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Carpet

Retainer Replacement - Rear) .

6. Install the door weatherstrip to the center pillar.
