Blower Motor Resistor: Service and Repair

BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor resistor.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.

4. Loosen both screws that are forward of the blower motor resistor.

IMPORTANT:  The blower motor resistor opening is slotted. Access is extremely limited.

5. Remove the screw from the rear of the blower motor resistor.
6. Remove the blower motor resistor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the blower motor resistor.

IMPORTANT:  Align the blower motor resistor forward retaining slots onto the screws and seat the blower motor control processor against HVAC
module.
