Century V6-3100 3.1L VIN M SFI (1998)
1. Use a light wipe of transaxle fluid to lubricate the seal lip.
2. Use the J 34115 to install a new seal (409).
3. Install the J 37292-B in the seal (409).
4. Connect the drive axle to the transaxle. Refer to Wheel Drive Shafts Replacement.
IMPORTANT: Carefully guide the axle shaft past the lip seal. Do NOT allow the shaft splines to contact any portion of the seal lip surface or
damage to the seal will occur.
5. Remove the J 37292-B.
6. Install the left lower ball joint to the left lower control arm. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement.
7. Install the left tie rod end to the left steering knuckle. Refer to Steering Knuckle Replacement.
8. Install the left stabilizer shaft bracket to the left lower control arm. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement.
9. Install the left engine splash shield.
10. Install the left front tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Adjust the fluid level.
13. Inspect for proper fluid level.
14. Inspect for fluid leaks.
