Checks for shorts in relays or wiring. Normally fan would be "OFF".

Simulates coolant temperature switch closing. High speed fan(s) should be "ON".

    Tests normal high speed fan operation when the coolant temperature switch closes. If hi-speed fan does not come "ON" prior to "hot light" or "hot
zone" on temperature gauge, re-ground terminal "D" as in step 2 to assist engine cool down.
