Timing Cover: Service and Repair
Front Cover
Proper Parallel Alignment Of The Timing Chain Assembly
SPECIAL TOOL REQUIRED (or equivalent)

J-37087, Crankshaft sensor adjusting tool.
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable and drain engine coolant.
2. Serpentine belt.
3. Heater pipes and lower radiator hose from cover.
4. Coolant bypass hose from cover.
5. Raise car and suitably support.
6. Right front wheel and tire and inner fender splash shield.
7. Balancer bolt and balancer.
8. Electrical connections at:

Camshaft sensor.
^
Crankshaft sensor.
^
Oil Pressure sender.
9. Oil pan to front cover bolts.
10. Front cover attaching bolts and cover.
