Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Rear Suspension

Knuckle Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle   (See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   (See: Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).

3. Scribe the strut to the knuckle.
4. Remove the bearing/hub assembly. Refer to Rear Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement   (See: Suspension/Wheel Bearing/Service and

Repair/Rear Suspension).

5. Remove the rear wheel spindle rods from the knuckle. Refer to Rear Wheel Spindle Rod Replacement   (See: Suspension/Rear Knuckle Alignment

Link/Service and Repair).

6. Remove the trailing arm (2) from the knuckle (3). Refer to Trailing Arm Replacement   (See: Suspension/Trailing Arm/Service and Repair).
