Throttle Body: Description and Operation
The throttle body unit is used to control the amount of air entering the engine. This is accomplished through the use of a throttle valve. The Idle Air
Control (IAC) valve and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) are also mounted on the throttle body unit.
The throttle body unit contains vacuum ports located above or below the throttle valve. These ports provide vacuum signals to operate various
components.
