A review of components at the Warranty Parts Center has shown a significant number of outside rearview mirror assemblies being replaced when just the
glass or motor (actuator) would have corrected the customer's concern. This results in unnecessary warranty waste.
The purpose of this bulletin is to advise dealership service personnel that the mirror glass and motors (actuators) are serviceable components. Please
refer to the Parts Catalog for part numbers.
Important:
The motor (actuator) is not serviceable on folding mirrors.
For replacement procedures, refer to the DTS service information. Lucerne replacement procedures will be added to SI in the near future.
