Lucerne V6-3.8L VIN 2 (2006)
Installation Procedure
1. Remove the rubber plug from the brake hose bolt hole of the brake caliper.
2. Important: Install NEW copper brake hose gaskets.
Assemble the brake hose bolt and the NEW copper brake hose gaskets to the brake hose.
3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Install the brake hose bolt to the brake caliper.
Tighten the brake hose bolt to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
4. Notice: Make sure the brake hose is not twisted or kinked after installation. Damage to the hose could result.
Install the brake hose to the brake hose bracket.
5. Install the brake hose retainer to the brake hose.
6. Remove the rubber cap or plug from the exposed brake pipe fitting end.
7. Install the brake pipe fitting to the brake hose.
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.).
8. Caution: Do not move the vehicle until a firm brake pedal is obtained. Air in the brake system can cause the loss of brakes with possible
personal injury.
Bleed the brake caliper at the brake caliper bleeder screw. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding
