Install the J38197-A.

7. Remove the crankshaft balancer.
8. Remove the J38197-A.

Installation Procedure 

1. Coat the engine front cover seal contact area on the crankshaft balancer, and the seal surface with engine oil.
2. Install the crankshaft balancer.

3. Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice.

Install the new crankshaft balancer bolt. Use the J45059 to prevent the flywheel from turning.
Tighten the bolt to 150 Nm (111 ft. lbs.) plus an additional 76 degrees using the J45059.

4. Remove the J45059.
5. Install the torque converter covers.
6. Install the wheel house liner.
7. Install the drive belt.
8. Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure. Refer to CKP System Variation Learn Procedure. See: Powertrain Management/Computers
