11. As needed, remove the seal using the J 6125-1B and the J 23129 .
Installation Procedure
1. Install a new seal, as needed. Before installing, coat the new seal with a small amount of J 36850 or petroleum jelly.
2. Install a new filter into the case.
Note: Oil pan gaskets are reusable. Only replace if sealing surface is damaged.
3. Install the oil pan (24) and the gasket (25) at the same time.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
4. Install the oil pan bolts.
Tighten the bolts to 14 Nm (125 lb in).
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Fill the transaxle to the proper level. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Specifications/Capacity Specifications).
7. Inspect the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check (See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Automatic
Transmission/Transaxle/Testing and Inspection/4T65-E - Automatic Transmission/Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check).
8. Inspect the oil pan gasket for leaks.
